Master Andrea Varela

Meet Master Andrea Varela, a passionate 4th Degree Black Belt and the vibrant Lead Instructor at KC's. Andrea recently was promoted to her "Master's" Rank, a result of her dedication to martial arts and personal growth.

In the dojo, Andrea plays a dual role as both an instructor and a guide. She brings her energy and expertise to black belt classes, challenging seasoned students to push their limits. Yet, her heart shines brightest when helping new students embark on their TKD journey, where she emphasizes character development as much as martial arts skills.

Andrea’s martial arts career is decorated with significant roles and accomplishments. She has recently returned as a coach and performing member of the KC's X-Team and assists in instructing our Leadership Team.  She holds a Level 2 Pro black belt in the Hyper Pro Black Belt Training program, which focuses on kickboxing, self-defense and instructional leadership. Her commitment to continuous improvement is not just a personal goal but a beacon for her students, earning her widespread respect within the KC's community.

Before stepping fully into her role at KC's, Andrea enriched young minds as a kindergarten teacher for two years, a testament to her nurturing and educational spirit. Her 14 years as a martial artist have deeply influenced her, fueling her passion to inspire and uplift others through the powerful platform of teaching.

Andrea's journey at KC's is a blend of rigorous training, inspiring teaching, and insightful leadership, making her an indispensable part of the KC's Family.

My daughter has been going to KC's for a couple of years now - she started as a Little Dragon and has worked her way up to the big kid classes. All the instructors at KC's are fantastic with the kids - they are encouraging and fun while maintaining respect and discipline from the kids.
